In the phases of the moon

The power of the stars

The strength of the sun

The swell and ebbing of the sea

The flowing of the air

The depth of the earth

The heart of fire

The heart of love

The love of Christ

I believe O God of all gods

That you never cease your self disclosure

in your longing to be known by us your creatures

That fire of presence

too bright to be born by us

Is tempered, confined

In human being,

Word made flesh

Wonder of wonders

God cries

God laughs

dances, sings, sighs

dies, lives, fills all creation

all within all beyond

time and matter

matter and time, hearts aflame
