We can hardly believe that Lydia has reached that impressive milestone of 90 years(!!) when, among other things, she continues as ‘Sister-in-Charge’ of our beautiful garden here at Ham. Sometimes, it seems that Lydia can’t quite believe it herself, but we celebrated the special day with her, and with a number of friends, Associates and Old Boys and Girls in grand style:  eucharist with hymns, followed by a buffet lunch.

Over the last several months, Lydia and her good friend Tom had spent many hours together collecting and transcribing her ‘memoirs’, which Tom kindly made into a ‘book’ (with the help of another good friend, Will). The guests at the birthday bash were delighted to receive a copy, and we are very grateful to Tom and Will for their kindness and generosity in making this possible.
